ID Needed

Hi lads im sure somebody can help me to first of all give me an id on this hermit Crab that has set up home in an old snail shell and last of all is he reef safe.Sorry about the quality of the picture. Thanking you in advance. Tommy.

Sorry mate I cant seem to enlarge the picture to get a closer look. I can't see it in the small picture old age and stuff.

No problem Billy.Its just that to the best of my knowledge i only ever put red hemits into the tank but i noticed this lad with blue yellow and orange baned legs the other night.I just want to make sure he is reef safe.

I cant enlarge the pic either but looks very like a Caribbean equal handed hermit, if so it is no harm to your tank...

Porcelain Crab maybe ??? if so it is also reef friendly untill it gets to big and starts knocking over small frags.

Porcelin crabs in general have a fixed shell which is part of the body. Only hermits will swap shells as in the photo...

if only I could see the photo I can't make out whats on the photo therefore guessing as to what it might be but only guessing best of luck trying to get a result.
