Hi sincar,

It really depends on the actual location but generally 90% of critters are hiding under rocks or in the weeds that are hanging into the pools. Just make sure when you lift a rock that you put it back more or less the same way so you are not destroying habitats. Scooping with a net under the weeds is a good way to find the more fishy critters.
Also generally the lower the tide allows to go down the shoreline the more variety you will find.

Thanks a lot guys! The one in the picture above you mean? Thats a Chameleon Prawn Hippolyte varians, really interesting animal, anything from bright green over red to black and sometimes crazy patterns.
