Hi Graham;

My nett tank water (350) divided by 400 multiply by 1 = 0.875 almost 0.9 litres

since its 1 litre of stones per 400 litres of water.

I weighed 1 litres of zeolites= 1.125 kg then from there I work out 1kg zeolites= 0.9 litres.

Hope there is a better way! :)

Hi Andrew,

Looking good. Well done

when I started zeo, I used to weight the stones relevent to the overall weight of the bag, after a while I'd pour them in. Its no harm to have more than is needed.

If you want to extract a little more PO4/ P-P04 add some more stones and increase the flow a little.
Flow through the reactor should be in the region of 1L in about 12 odd seconds, give or take a bit :)

I'd agree with Graham, chuck a monti in there now and see what happens, you should be good to go.

Hi Derek, thanks for the input. I would love to just use 1 litres of zeolites, makes life much much easier :D

I put some frags in few days ago. Fingers crossed they will be ok !

They are all from my other tank which I accidentally broke off bits and pieces while cleaning tank :roll:

Green digitata, red Millie, green birdnest and pink birdnest which was almost totally destroyed by cyno in other tank.

Hi Chris, thanks. It's a great tank alright, love the head space in the cabinet. With sump the system is 400 litres thereabouts. Return pump is 2000 litres per hour controllable.

Hi Robbie,cheers for input too, I will use the whole bag of stones next time...but give or take as only change 90% of stones? Grrr...what's the best way of doing this? Just take a handful of old stones mix with whole new bag of zeolites?
