:oops: ooops! i should have mentioned that too!!! this should go for anyone planting or using any species of plant on their property,
1 ensure that it is not a species that is illegal to grow
2 ensure that it is not a species that can spread to neighbouring land (selfseeding. rhizomes etc)
3 and dispose of any cuttings, clippings in a maner that they will not be able to regrow or end up where they can regrow.
the roadsides at this time of year are covered with quite a number of species on the list that ian posted earlier and only yesterday i was reading of a public pond in Bishopstown in cork that is smothered in Azolla, in this case the article stated that cork city council are to take measures to deal with the weed problem. I must take a trip out this week to have a look and take a couple of pictures
I think the area is known as 'murphys farm' anyone know it, and where exactly it is?
