I am a member of the ITFS.

If the LFKS meeting place were closer to me then I would join.

The idea of an in-person society is difficult to beat. My feelings are that there many benefits to being a member than one may initially see......even financially.

I was honored in being asked to give a talk at a LFKS night some time. My OH and I thoroughly enjoyed the night and the company of the members.
The members are great to chat to, and I believe that there is room for anyone no matter what their experience.

Oh dear Ian, you've just signed yourself up to give a regular talk

Seriously though. We discussed a get together before and nothing materialised from it.
It would be nice to organise it and maybe one or two of us could do a talk on an aspect of fish keeping.
+1 On that. The distance is the problem for me, I would love to get to meetings as i'm new to the hobby and love picking people's brains for info.

Would love to join, the distance to meetings is a problem, is it mandatory that you attend every meeting?
Also, what is the current membership fee?

Robbie.

The meetings are not mandatory and it cost €20 per year to join or €10 if you are a student or
out of work.
